At a 6, 300 foot elevation, the Buckthorn Campground takes its campers to the next level with its peaceful atmosphere and spacious campsites. Feeling like you’re in good shape? Test out your stamina by hiking the 15 mile Burkhart Trail and relish in the glorious views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Would rather hang out by the water all day? Head out to Buckthorn Falls or Cooper Canyon Falls and take a dip at the bottom of a waterfall.

Chantry Flats

Chantry flats is a great place to go to enjoy the best of the outdoor world. The campground is surrounded by ample shade and a hike away from the deep pools of Hermit Falls and Sturtevant Falls. There are hiking options for every level around the area, but the strenuous 14 mile loop to Mt. Wilson is a popular favorite.
